New BT employees

If you have transferred to BT under TUPE you will not be auto enrolled into the BTRSS. Please read the Joining information for employees who transfer under TUPE flyer for information on how you can join the plan.>

For new employees, your contract of employment from BT will explain the joining basis of the BTRSS. You will be automatically enrolled into the BTRSS under the following default basis:

You should read through all of the documents in your joining pack. Before buying a product, you need to be aware of the risks and commitment involved. Details are available in the Key Features Document, which you can download below.

Once you have read through the information, if you wish to opt-out of joining the Plan, change your payment level or your investment choice, please read the information below carefully as there are restrictions on when you can make your desired changes.

I want to opt-out of the BTRSS

  1. You can decide to opt-out when you receive your contract – a form will be enclosed with your contract which you should complete and return. You can also down a copy of the form on the I want to opt out of the BTRSS.
  2. You can decide to opt-out within one month of your start date of employment.
  3. You can decide to opt-out within 30 days of receiving your plan documentation from Standard Life

I want to change my payment level

  1. You can change your level of payment when you receive your contract
  2. You can change your level of payment within one month of your start date of employment

I want to change the funds in which the payments are invested

  1. You can change the funds when you receive your contract. Please see the Your fund choices page for the options available to you
